What’s the status of my adoption application?

Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our pets! Please give us 5 working days to process your application. That means we are working diligently to complete reference check interviews, validate pet permissions in the case of adopters living in rentals, and verify your veterinarian.

We try to get back to everyone in a timely manner but occasionally we get a little behind, especially with popular pets. Please also realize that we may receive up to 20 applications on very popular pets. If you do not hear from us within 5 days, then the pet you’ve requested for adoption is likely popular, and we are working very hard to find the pet’s best match.

I am a reference for an adopter.

If you are a reference for a prospective adopter and we’ve been playing phone tag, please complete this form and in the comment box include: the best time to reach you, adopter’s full name, and adopter’s preferred pet for adoption (if you know it).
